Infopress, one of the leading players on the printery market in Romania has increased its printing capacity by 40%, following a $2 million investment in buying and installing a new rotary press for magazines and advertising print. sleadnedtAndras Albert, the company's general manager and founder, said the new rotary press would boost Infopress' turnover by 15-20% next year from the $20 million in 2003. "The acquisition ends the expansion we began in 2001 when Baring Central Europe Fund bought into the Infopress business. This will consolidate our position on the printery market in general and on the magazine market in particular," Andras Albert told Ziarul Financiar. Infopress accounts for more than 55% of the colour magazine printing market and is also a leader on the commercial promotional print segment. The company has seen constant growth over the last two years, after Baring Central Europe Fund (BCEF), one of the main regional investment funds operating in Romania, acquired control of Infopress under a $5.8 million capital increase. BCEF, which holds 80% in Infopress, also facilitated contracting a $4.2 million loan in 2001. ZF
