Brasov-based Holver company, part of Austria's J.u.A. Frischeis G.m.b.H., which sells plywood and wood board, expects to reach turnover worth around 60m euros this year, up 200% against 2006. "The positive trend of financial indicators this year is due on the one hand to the 2m-euro investments we operated to modernise the centres in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Bucharest and Constanta, and on the other hand sales will be bolstered by growth the construction materials market has witnessed lately," stated Roxana Nichifor, manager in the control department of Holver company. The Brasov-based company's products are delivered to Austrian J.u.A. Frischeis group and then distributed worldwide. "The current high demand of raw materials and semi-finished wood products on the furniture, constructions and home design markets forces us to raise the number of employees from 110 to 170 by yearend," specified Roxana Nichifor. In Romania, besides Holver company, the Austrian group also holds JF Furnir company, a producer of aesthetic veneer and timber.
