Jacuzzi Inc., the American company that named the famous water massage equipment has entered the Romanian market directly, in an attempt to consolidate its position. Jacuzzi products have been available in Romania for a decade and distributed by a sole dealer, but the company is now operating directly on a market it feels has a lot of potential. Jacuzzi's official representative in Romania is Timis County-based Fulmine. "Jacuzzi Inc.'s reason to consolidate its position in Romania is the presence on an emerging market that is now opening up, growing and providing opportunities for the future. Given Romania's upcoming accession to the European Union, Jacuzzi expects the local market to normalise and stabilise, as well as come to match the levels (and purchasing power) in the European Union in time," Marius Oltean, Fulmine general manager said. Sales of leisure and health equipment such as water massage bathtubs or shower cabins, as well as saunas, on the Romanian market have surged lately. Under the circumstances, the company decided to promote itself better in Romania in an attempt to highlight Jacuzzi is not a product, but a brand of the company that invented what is known as such nowadays, i.e. the water massage equipment.
