KBC Consumer Finance IFN operates 12m-euro capital increase

KBC Consumer Finance IFN, the consumer credit company, which has been recently set up by the Belgian group KBC, which also controls Romstal Leasing, will increase its share capital by 41.91 million RON (12 million euros), to 42.54 million RON (12.2 million euros), through a cash contribution by the shareholders. The company's shareholders approved the move on November 30, in an extraordinary general meeting. Currently, the company's share capital stands at 635,337 RON, equivalent to 200,100 euros. The increase will be performed by issuing 132,000 new shares, with a nominal value of 317,51 RON each. After the increase, the stakes held by the shareholders in the consumer credit company will remain the same, KBC Bank NV, with 99.95% of the shares and KBC NB - 0.05%. Belgian group KBC controls Romstal Leasing and INK Broker de Asigurare on the local market, which were taken over at the end of last year for 70 million euros. The group also operates the stock exchange brokerage firm Swiss Capital on the Romanian market, the purchase of which has been completed this year. At the end of September, KBC had assets worth over 350.32 billion euros, up by 7.6% against December 2006.
