The Romanian branch of the British boiler producer Keston Boilers, Celsius 2000, forecasts turnover worth 13.2 million euros this year, up around 17% on last year. "In the 1994-2004 period, the company saw annual production increase by around 30%, and by around 20% after 2004. By the end of the year, our production will stand at around 16,000 units," said Ioan Andromache, a company consultant. The company exports 90% of its boiler production to the UK to its majority shareholder, which distributes the products in the UK, Portugal and New Zealand. "The boilers were very well received on the British market, and in 2001 our company held an approximately 11% market share on the condensing boilers market," explained Andronache. What sets apart condensing boilers from classic ones is the reduced consumption of energy. "Over 50% of the total amount of boilers sold in Romania fall in the C energy class (high consumption) (...)," said Andronache.
