The biggest challenge faced by La Fantana still water bottler is the fluctuation of distribution personnel, according to Cristian Amza, general manager and minority shareholder of the La Fantana group. "I am considering bringing on board 100 Chinese staff, as a solution to the personnel shortage on the Romanian market. Currently, employees have a relaxed attitude to work, because they know that if they are laid off, they will find work somewhere else," says Amza. Yearly, around a third of the approximately 300 La Fantana employees working in distribution and service on the local market leave the company. Store networks are confronted with a similarly high personnel turnover, according to retail companies. Workforce shortage is a problem faced by almost all companies on the market, which results from the acceleration of foreign investments in Romania and of Romanians going to work abroad.
