The pharmaceutical company LaborMed Pharma estimates a growth of over 50% in its turnover for this year, to 30 million euros, following completion of projects started in 2005. "The year 2005 was an extremely complex year for LaborMed Pharma, since we also continued to develop the company''s three fields of activity: research-development of generic products in oral solid forms, manufacturing, and marketing and distribution. We set out to exceed the 30 million threshold in terms of sales for 2006," stated the company''s chief executive, Xeni-Camelia Dicu. LaborMed Pharma projects include opening a new plant, with an annual production capacity of 1.5 billion doses per year, as well as the continuation of the modernisation of the distribution network and the development of the sales and promotion force, according to company officials. All these efforts target an increase in LaborMed Pharma''s competitiveness and flexibility against the tendencies of the Romanian pharmaceutical market. ZF
