LG expects $100m revenues this year

12.05.2006, 00:00 6

Electronics, IT products and mobile phones are the catalyst behind the growth of the South-Korean group LG Electronics on the Romanian market. Han Q, president of LG Romania, estimates a turnover worth 100 million dollars (some 78 million euros) for this year, which is a 66% growth against the previous year. "The upward trend of IT and of GSM accessories, which is faster than in the case of white goods, is a general tendency of the whole market," says the president of the South-Korean group in Romania. "The speed at which white goods are replaced is lower than in the case of electronics, IT and GSM products," Han Q adds. The faster-paced growth of sales of IT products, mobile phones and the so-called brown goods (electronic equipment for home entertainment such as CD players, TVs or video cameras) can also be seen in the growing share that this range of products has in the turnover of LG Romania.
