Loulis sales up 85%

04.10.2004, 00:00 9

Loulis Romania, the producer operating in the milling and bakery industry, in the first half of the year logged sales worth 27 million euros, almost 85% higher as compared to the corresponding period of 2003, amid the launch of new production capacities and the surging wheat prices in the first part of the year. The group had reported a 50% increase in sales for the first three months of 2004, to 14.2 million euros. "The increase has been registered amid higher volumes, as well as higher prices, which did not have the same growth pace as raw materials prices," says Nikolaos Voudouris, president of Loulis Romania. In line with its own estimates, Loulis owns a 22% share of the fresh bread market and 40% of the sliced bread market for Bucharest, and 6-7% of pasta sales countrywide. ZF
