Managers lose money when they do not know their employees

Almost one third of employers say they will slash budgetsearmarked for employee training and development programmes nextyear, while over 45% of them plan to keep them at this year'slevel, reveals a recent survey by BDO Romania audit and consultingservices company, carried out among 450 companies in eightcountries, 140 of which operating in Romania.

However, the managers who do not know their employees and do notknow what training programmes they should send them to risk seeingtheir productivity and implicitly their turnover decline.

HR consultants say most HR practices in a company should be thedirect manager's responsibility, and not that of HR managers andthis is why it is important they know the typology of the employeesthey work with.

Training service providers have developed a lot of instrumentshelping employers find out what type of employees they work withand identify the best team forging formula, depending on eachemployee's behaviour and way of thinking.
