20.04.2006, 00:00 9

Shareholders of Societatea Companiilor Hoteliere Grand (GHES), which own the five-star JW Marriott hotel in the capital city, will discuss a capital increase by over 30 million euros in May, sources from GHES told ZIARUL FINANCIAR. The move would be submitted for approval in the General Meeting of Shareholders. According to the latest available information, GHES has three shareholders, Bauholding Strabag (55%), ONT Carpati (30%) and Alliance Overseas (15%). According to information on the market, Alliance Overseas is controlled by Lebanese businessman Fatih Taher. Taher did not specify whether he would take part in this increase or not. GHES officials say two of the shareholders, the Austrian company Strabag and ONT Carpati, will definitely take part in the move to increase the share capital of the company that manages the biggest hotel in Romania. In the wake of the capital increase, the balance of power among the three shareholders could change depending on whether they take part in this move or not. ZF
