The medical services division of the Polisano group, involved in retail and drug distribution, estimates an over 30% increase in turnover for this year against 2006, after having expanded its activity in both Sibiu and Bucharest. The company ended 2006 with an 11.5 million RON (3.23 million euro) turnover, up 25% on 2005. "The expansion of our presence in Bucharest, as well as the natural growth of the market will lead to an increase in turnover. We can see a sustained increase in subscriptions for companies, as well as paid services for individuals," stated Cristian Sas, the company's Bucharest manager. The medical services division of the Polisano group is made up of two separate legal entities, Clinica Polisano SRL, a polyclinic operator and Centrul Medical Polisano (Polisano Medical Centre), a hospital operator. The Vonica family are shareholders of the two entities. Currently, the medical services division of Polisano employs 150 people (collaborators excluded), with numbers expected to increase after the opening of the new centres in Bucharest. The medical services division of Polisano operates a hospital, a clinic, a lab and a fertility centre in Sibiu, as well as two clinics and a lab in Bucharest, along with a further two clinics being developed.
