Medsana forecasts 12.5m-euro turnover this year

Medical services provider Medsana expects a 12.5 million-euro turnover this year, up 25% against 2008, and an EBITDA of 1 million euros. "2008 was a year of consolidation for the private medical services market, which saw an around 30% increase. Medsana recorded a significant increase in terms of turnover, however its profit rise was slower, given the increased salary budget. The estimated turnover for 2008 is of around 10 million euros, and the EBITDA is 750,000 euros," said Vassilis Chaniotis, general manager of Medsana Bucharest Medical Center. He specified this year's results could "fluctuate significantly" given the international crisis and the possible depreciation of the RON. On the other hand, factors with a positive effect on 2009 figures include the operating at full capacity of the Ploiesti-based clinic, the opening of a new clinic in Bucharest and of new departments in the already existing centres.
