Midocar, an Audi and Volkswagen dealer, posted a net turnover worth 10.67 million RON (3 million euros), almost seven times less than the 71.11 million RON seen in 2005, according to the company's annual financial report. The company's profit fell by 30.6%, from 3.16 million RON to 2.19 million RON. The company has been on the Romanian market since 1992 and in addition to vehicle distribution provides vehicle repair, parts and subassemblies for the car industry. The Midocar group consists of Midocar, Midocar Construct, Midocar Consulting, Midocar Leasing IFN and Midocar Product. In 2006, Audi sales on the Romanian market increased by 32.8% reaching 1,727 units, with the Volkswagen brand experiencing a 30% increase reaching 17,322 units.
