Munplast Bucharest, a manufacturer of plastic accessories and products for the light industry estimates to make approximately 7.5 million euro turnover this year, 66% higher than for the entire 2004. "The turnover we made in 2004 was of 183bn ROL (some 4.5 million euros i.e.), an increase of 14.4% on 2003. We estimate turnover to reach 268bn ROL (some 7.5 million euros) this year, with the growth achieved by developing partnerships for industrial components, by tapping into new supermarket chains, broadening the product range and increasing the number of dealers throughout the country," Elena Stepan, the company''s marketing manager said. Munplast''s plans for this year include an investment of approximately 700,000 euros in the acquisition of new equipment and moulds, as well as equipment for its laboratories. The Bucharest-based company''s investments have exceeded 12 million euros over the last ten years and have been largely directed to injection equipment and moulds for plastic items, to a complete line that makes foils, bags, sacks and polyethylene bags or robot button-processing equipment. Munplast''s products are primarily sold on the domestic market, which accounts for about 85% of the turnover. ZF
