Murfatlar, one of the leading wine producers on the Romanian market, will invest 2.4 million euros next year in replanting 220 hectares of vine. "Murfatlar holds over 3,000 hectares of vine, and the acquisition of new areas is not a priority at the moment. We will continue to replant the areas we have," said Cosmin Popescu, Murfatlar's manager. This year, the producer conducted investments worth 1.7 million euros in replanting 115 hectares of vine. Murfatlar's bottling capacity stands at 150,000 bottles a day, but it will rise by 100,000 bottles after the acquisition of a new line, which will become operational this year, following a 1.1 million-euro investment. In the first eight months of this year, Murfatlar witnessed a sales increase by 10-12%, preserving the growth rate reported in the first half of the year.
