Omnilogic logs 35% surge

22.12.2005, 19:02 8

Omnilogic, one of the largest IT&C system integrators on the domestic market, will see its revenues increase by 35%, company officials estimate.

The anticipated turnover for this year will amount to more than 162 million dollars (135 million euros), from 120 million dollars (97 million euros) last year. The company did not provide any forecasts regarding the net profit, but mentioned "it will go up by more than three times compared with 2004."

"We have set out to attain a 200 million-dollar (167 million euros) target for next year and our long-term goal is to generate 500 million-dollar (some 417 million euros) revenues by the end of 2008," Gabriel Marin, Omnilogic''s general manager told ZIARUL FINANCIAR.

The company''s business focuses on indirect sales through dealers, consultancy and technical support, as well design and the supply of turnkey solutions.

Out of the 162 million dollars made this year, approximately 100-110 million dollars (83-92 million euros) will come from domestic sales (IT&C equipment distribution), with the rest of the sum coming from local projects carried out with foreign partners such as IBM Vienna and HP Vienna, Marin says.

"We have to admit that the strengthening of the domestic currency in 2005 had a strong favourable influence on the profitability of the IT&C business on the domestic market, given that the overwhelming majority of the products are imported," he added.

The company made some 80% of its turnover through the partner network, with the rest derived from direct sales in the financial-banking sector and to telecom operators.

As for the sales structure by products, 90% of Omnilogic''s sales were based on its partnerships with traditional suppliers like IBM, HP, Dell, Sun, Cisco, Nortel, and Lexmark, Omnilogic officials explained.

Omnilogic was established in 1992 and its main shareholder is Austrian GT Holding. mihai.musatoiu@zf.ro
