Romania is on the list of Swedish company Oriflame for the construction of a cosmetics plant, along with Hungary, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Oriflame is seeking a location for a new cosmetics plant that is likely to sustain its growth in sales on European markets. "We've conducted a market survey in the past three weeks to assess Romania's potential as a location for a new Oriflame plant. Investments in this project are likely to amount to several billion euros," stated Monica Tatoiu, the general manager of Oriflame Romania. "We are competing with Hungary, Ukraine and the Czech Republic to host the new plant. The main criteria in making a decision will be land prices, labour costs, legislative stability and how fast construction permits can be obtained. The plant will produce and export to EU states," added Tatoiu.
