Piata Victoriei, "City" of the Capital

One in ten high-quality offices in the Capital City will be located in the Piata Victoriei area next year, where over 11,000 employees of the biggest players in the economy, with business worth billions of euros, will be working. The rents paid by companies such as Orange or Rompetrol for the total area of over 100,000 square metres are close to 30 million euros per year, at an average rent of 20 euros/square metre/month. Orange and Rompetrol have together seen business worth over 6 billion euros this year. "International companies are interested in this area because of its prestige and central position, in the heart of the city, having a good visibility and being easy of access," stated Adriana Neagu, a consultant with the office department of DTZ Echinox. The stock of office space in the area will increase by some 50% next year, after the completion of the four office buildings announced - Muntii Tatra 2, Tower Center International, Buzesti 85 Office Building and Bucharest Office Solutions, with a total surface area of almost 50,000 square metres.
