Purmo Romania, the domestic unit of Europe's leading radiator producer, Rettig ICC (Indoor Climate Control), estimates it will reach a turnover worth around 9.5m euros this year amid the development of the domestic constructions industry. "Romanians' purchasing power has increased in recent years and the constructions industry has developed accordingly. A rising number of office buildings, blocks of flats and residential buildings are being erected at present, which is boosting radiator sales," stated Tunde Sandor, general manager with Rettig-Purmo Romania, told ZF. The Purmo Compact model generates approximately 85% of the company's overall sales, but the producer has recently registered increases for other models, as well. In March, the Purmo radiator range consisted of 840 different types and sizes. In the wake of the company's rebranding and launch of a new product range, the range has now expanded to 2,500 different types and sizes. "Purmo last year sold around 150,000 radiators, up 33% year-on-year. We estimate we'll sell around 200,000 radiators this year amid company and market expansion," said Sandor.
