17.10.2005, 19:12 13

Reckitt Benckiser, the Romanian branch of the international household and personal care products company, posted a 50% turnover growth in the first nine months of the year compared with the same time in 2004 to 9.7 million euros. This is due to both the growth of the overall market and to the investments made in marketing, says Narcis Mihai, sales manager of Reckitt Benckiser. The management expects this year''s turnover to stand at 12 million euros. The overall market growth this year amounted to 20-50% for each product category Reckitt-Benckiser imports, Narcis Mihai added. The company has a number of global brands but only sells four of them in Romania. "We will decide some time in the April-June 2006 period whether to introduce a new product on the Romanian market or not, depending on how sales go for the other products," Mihai explains. The brands imported in Romania are Calgon, Vanish, Cillit and Veet. The company does not import them directly, but works with an importer in this regard. ZF
