Semanatoarea, green light for de-listing

06.07.2006, 19:46 7

The National Securities Commission (CNVM) gave Semanatoarea the green light to de-list from the Stock Exchange, after the company's shareholders had voted for the de-listing in the General Meeting of Shareholders held at the beginning of March. Semanatoarea is the first company on the Stock Exchange whose de-listing has been approved by the CNVM, after a set of measures had been put in place at the beginning of this year, allowing de-listing to be performed by a simple approval of shareholders, which gives the go-ahead to majority shareholders for de-listings. Meanwhile, the CNVM published a new set of measures, which annulled the previous set, with the de-listing to take place under much more restrictive conditions. However, there are many companies on the Stock Exchange and on the RASDAQ that had their de-listing approved in the General Meeting of Shareholders and are waiting for the CNVM's final approval to leave the Stock Exchange. Among these are Vel Pitar, Otelinox, Mefin, on the Stock Exchange and Asirom, Napolact and Sanex on the RASDAQ.
