Meal ticket issuer Sodexho Pass Romania has concluded a deal with US Bechtel Corp to provide catering services for the entire duration of the construction works for the Brasov-Bors highway, said Satya Christophe Menard, Sodexho Pass Romania's chief executive. He did not reveal the value of the contract, though it is expected to be worth several million euros a year, since Bechtel has already employed some 900 people for the highway. "The contract was signed between Sodexho Pass Romania and Romanian Motor Way Company, whose main shareholders are Bechtel and Scetauroute International. The contract will provide catering for all employees involved in construction of the highway, who will number in the thousands," Menard said. The contract will also mark the penetration of the catering arm of the French company into areas normally hard to reach. Catering is Sodexho Pass' main business worldwide, with meal tickets accounting for a mere 2% of the total revenues. ZF
