STK Emergent buys 1.7m-euro stake in Bermas

Investment fund STK Emergent, managed by STK Financial, has acquired a 7.05% stake in the shares of beer producer Bermas Suceava worth 1.7 million euros, with the undervalued shares, which have a growth potential, being the main target of the Cluj-based company. "We have bought the Bermas shares because they are undervalued, the Suceava-based company will have the opportunity to improve its performance and the potential to derive a profit. The administration of the STK fund is active, therefore any undervalued shares can become potential acquisitions," says Nicolae Pascu (photo), president of STK Financial. The shares of the Suceava-based beer producer Bermas, a trader under the BRM symbol, gained 7.32% on the BSE, with a liquidity standing at almost 400,000 RON. Two days ago, Bermas shares were the object of 0.72 million-euro transactions, with 3.2% of the shares being transferred. STK Emergent fund saw a 34.5% yield for its fund unit, following the investments made in companies on the RASDAQ. In early June, STK Emergent bought shares in Constructii Bihor and Ecopack Ghimbav worth a total of over 15 million RON. Financial Investment Company Banat-Crisana put up for sale 12.32% of its shares in Ecopack Bihor, with the closed end fund STK Emergent purchasing 9.9%. The STK Emergent fund holds almost 28% of the capital of Constructii Bihor. At the end of June, STK Emergent included 221 investors, 15 of which were corporate entities, with the rest being individuals. The net assets of the fund totaled around 80 million RON.
