One of the main international piping makers, Tenaris (US) is about to take over Tubman International, the majority shareholder of Silcotub Zalau and Laminorul Braila, said Romanian metallurgical industry sources. "Chances are close to 100% for this deal to come through soon," the quoted sources added. Silcotub's general manager, Gheorghe Terhes stated he was not at liberty to comment on the shareholders' intentions, specifying there had been and still was a certain amount of "probing" related to the transaction. Tenaris is an international producer of steel pipes and a service provider for various industrial sectors, such as oil and natural gases, energy, chemicals etc. ZF
