Turabo Cafe acquires 9 coffee shops

10.10.2007, 18:51 7

Coffee shop chain Turabo Cafe, controlled by businessman Tudor Dragomir Niculescu, is expected to reach 35 restaurants by the end of 2008, while the network is expected to reach 26 coffee shops this year, after investments worth 2 million euros. The company that operates the Turabo restaurants has recently acquired nine Dark coffee shops, which are located in Real hypermarkets. According to the company management, the acquisition of coffee shops is part of Turabo Cafe's expansion process. "On this market, retail properties that meet our standards are limited, and the transaction has enabled us to expand our portfolio by a significant number of coffee shops. Moreover, the extremely valuable position of these coffee shops within hypermarkets is another argument that supports these acquisitions," said Tudor Dragomir Niculescu, president of the Turabo Cafe group.
