Wine producer Vinia Iasi posted sales worth 8.5m euros (319bn ROL) last year, down 5% from 2002, when it reported 9m euros. Sales increased 14% in ROL. Vinia estimates to see 10m euros in turnover this year. "We export some 71% of our output, with bulk deliveries accounting for 84%. We plan to boost the deliveries of bottled wine to half of our exports," said Vasile Babusanu, general manager of Vinia Iasi. He added the raw material was 35% more expensive last year, as the grape output dropped, while wine prices only grew 12%. The average price of a 0.75-litre Vinia Iasi bottle amounts to 1.2 euros for the white wine and 1.4 euros for the red wine. ZF
