Equity funds have generated yields like in their good times, ofas much as 170% in the past year, but nevertheless investors havepreferred to shelter their money in riskless funds, withperformances close to those of banking deposits. "For investors,low risk is more important than returns at present. This is whythough equity funds have posted solid performance, exposinginvestors to high risks, these have only managed to attract littlemoney from investors in the past year, while currency funds havereported record high capital inflows," said Dan Popovici, chiefinvestment officer with OTP Asset Management. BT Maxim, managed byBT Asset Management, is the performer of the year, with a yield of168.7% in February2009-February 2010 period. Another two equityfunds, Romania Actiuni, managed by Raiffeisen Asset Management, andActive Dinamic, managed by Swiss Capital, come closely behind, bothwith yields of above 155%.
