One month after Vasile Blaga, PDL (Democratic-Liberal Party)general secretary, one of the most powerful ministers of theCabinet, announced the imminent adoption of a new plan to rebootthe economy, silence has descended over Victoria Palace (GovernmentHQ). Has the plan been forgotten? "No, but we don't know itsbudgetary impact!"

Has the Government had any intention of adopting a plan tosupport the economy or not? Sulfina Barbu, PDL deputy, yesterday:"The plan has not been approved, yet. The Finance Ministry has notissued an answer (...)".
But is the plan still under discussion? "As far as I know, yes,"Barbu says. Why is it not being announced, then? "We don't know itsbudgetary impact," she reckons.
Is it normal to announce an economic revival plan without havingany idea about its effects? Laszlo Borbely, Environment Ministerand supervisor of the plan from UDMR (Democratic Alliance ofHungarians in Romania): "We do know its impact, but we had to waitfor the IMF visit to see their position". "The plan will beannounced in late August", says Borbely now.
