140 new signs for UniCredit Tiriac

30.05.2007, 19:15 11

The signs of the new UniCredit Tiriac Bank have started to be installed at 140 HVB Tiriac and UniCredit Romania branches, and will be publicly unveiled on Friday, June 1, the launch date for the newly branded lending institution, which resulted from the merger of the two banks. Given the size of the network, this will be the biggest rebranding process witnessed on the banking market. When the merger between HVB Bank and Banca Tiriac took place, the two banks' networks preserved their original logos, because of the nearing prospect of a second merger. The BCR is also expected to make adjustments to its brand image, over its 495-branch network, to highlight its inclusion into the Erste group. UniCredit officials say all the adjustments being made to complete the integration process are going according to plan after final approval was obtained from the NBR a week ago. On Friday, 140 branches will be opened exclusively to provide advice to the public. Clients will be able to continue using cards issued by both banks, but the possibility of a maximum 15-minute disruption cannot be entirely ruled out.
