Kykes, a US provider of management solutions and BPO services,with 51,000 employees and global revenues of 850m dollars, has sofar recruited 250 people at the office it opened this year in Cluj,and is set to hire another 50 by yearend.
The US group, which rented almost 1,800 square metres of offices inSigma Center of Cluj-Napoca, developed by one of the firms of Clujbusinessman Arpad Paskany, CFR Cluj football team financer,announced it would recruit another 200 people next year.
At present, the Cluj office of the US company is workingexclusively for Samsung Italy.
"The opening of Cluj centre offers the possibility of deliveringlow-cost support solutions and services in West-European languages,especially Italian, for the high demand from the EU. The kinshipbetween the Romanian and Italian languages was an important reasonfor setting up a Sykes centre in Romania," Chuck Sykes, Sykes CEOand chairman, told ZF.
BPO salaries start from 300 euros per month, but can go as high as1,000 euros in the case of some specific technical abilities orknowledge of rare foreign languages.
