38 investors team up for 17% in Amonil

29.11.2004, 00:00 12

A group of investors from Oradea-based Mobinvest brokerage has come to control 17% in stock of chemical fertiliser producer Amonil Slobozia, following this year's acquisitions on the Bourse. In the wake of massive stock purchases, Amonil's quote has risen by no less than five times since the beginning of this year. The main Amonil stockholders are two trading companies, but neither holds more than 33%. Oradea-based investors or the two trading companies will be forced to launch a takeover offering, if they want to exceed the 33% stake, which would allow a shareholder to veto any important company-related matters in the General Meeting of Shareholders. The Oradea-based group of investors has recently made its presence public within Amonil's shareholding structure, after expressing plans to appoint a new member in the company's Board. ZF
