Alcatel Lucent, one of the world's biggest suppliers of telecomequipment, will hire almost 200 engineers at its research anddevelopment centre in Timisoara.
"By the end of the year, we will have almost 200 new employees atthe division in charge of mobile telephony technologies," RaoulRos, general manager of Alcatel Lucent Romania, told ZF.
The personnel increase comes amid a greater involvement of theTimisoara centre in research and development operations of AlcatelLucent into one of the most spectacular technologies currentlydeveloped internationally, which will allow telephony operators toprovide mobile Internet at speeds above 100 Mbps - currentlyavailable only via fixed networks.
