Complet Electro Serv. (CES), the IT production division of Altex, the biggest local electronics and home appliances retailer, will estimates to post 29 million euros in turnover this year, 60% more compared to last year, when turnover stood at 18.2 million euros, according to Gabriel Jitaru, manager of CES. The significant growth anticipated is sustained by the opening of a new PC-manufacturing facility, which was inaugurated near Bucharest on Tuesday, following a total investment of 1.4 million euros, 1.1 million of which came from Raiffeisen Leasing, a division of the Raiffeisen group, and the other 300,000 euros from Altex''s own resources. CES plans to initiate an expansion of its activity in the business area, as well as to start the exportation of computers, but company officials refused to provide further details on this subject. The company has already started production, at a pace of approximately 10,000 computers per month. However, the production capacity of the new platform is one computer per minute, said Gabriel Jitaru. ZF
