Bucharest-based Angst, one of the leading local producers of charcuterie, posted an operating margin of 2% of turnover in H1 of this year, almost 550,000 euros, which is half the result derived in the first half of 2007. "In the first six months of 2008, Angst posted turnover worth 99.2m RON, up 15.5% against the same time last year, alongside a 2% operating margin," said Stefan Padure, vice-president of Angst. Angst's turnover increase (in euros) amounted to 3% in H1 against the same time in 2007, when Angst posted a 27m-euro turnover, up 23% against H1 of 2006. As for the operating margin, it went down in the course of last year, from 4% in the first half (i.e. around 1m euros) to 3.4% nine months into last year.
