The Atlassib group estimates a 25% turnover increase for this year, to over 270 million euros, against some 225 million euros last year. Thus, the holding witnessed a growth estimated at 38% for last year. Atlassib, a passenger carrier company providing international travel services, holds the biggest share in the turnover of the group, of some 20%. It saw a 42% surge in turnover last year to approximately 76 million euros. "Last year, we transported some 680,000 passengers on international routes, over 40% more than the previous year," said businessman Ilie Carabulea, the company's majority shareholder. This year, the number of passengers transported will go up by another 17%. "We don't feel under attack by the low cost airlines, since we are positioned in a different sector. People who travel by coach usually have more luggage and are loyal to this means of transportation," said Carabulea.
