The portfolio of credits held by Bancpost has reached the equivalent of some 1.2 billion euros at the end of September, with the growth target for this year standing at 100% as compared with 2005, Mihai Bogza, the bank's chairman, told ZF. Then there are also the so-called outsourced loans, as Bancpost, too, is using this method of observing restrictions imposed by the NBR. On the retail segment, the mortgage credit is an important growth engine for the bank, with volumes exceeding 200 million euros nine months into the year. "We are third on this market segment," says Bogza. Recently, the bank has started to promote a version of the mortgage credit in Swiss francs, in its attempt to keep up with the competition. In the next period, Bancpost will try to find innovative ways to increase the volume of sources attracted by the clients.
