Caru' cu bere beer house, one of the oldest and best known pubs in the old centre of the Capital, witnessed a 600,000-euro turnover in the first three months since renovation, four times higher than the turnover derived by the former management in one year. "Turnover estimated for these months was exceeded by 80%," stated Claudia Chira, PR manager of Caru' cu bere and City Grill. During the winter holidays, Caru' cu bere saw about 250,000 euro worth of revenues, which accounts for 40% of the restaurant's total turnover. "Caru' cu bere was fully booked in December, companies organised Christmas parties for employees in the restaurant and a series of contracts with travel agencies were sealed. The estimates we made before opening regarding turnover were exceeded," specified Chira. For 2007, the management of the restaurant targets a 2.5 million-euro turnover.
