Delta Romania, the main ice cream producer on the Romanian market, plans to sell 15.5 million euros' worth this year, general manager Dimitris Giannakopoulos said. He did not reveal the turnover for 2003, but said it went up 14.5% in ROL from 2002, which means some 5% decline in euros. "Delta Romania currently accounts for 40% of the market, and is the only producer with a country-wide presence," Giannakopoulos specified. The main brands Delta sells on the Romanian market are Top Gun, Best and Aloma. The Finance Ministry website shows Delta Romania to have logged about 430bn ROL (13.8 million euro) turnover in 2002 and net losses of about 114bn ROL (3.6 million euros). Which means the company's turnover amounted to some 490bn ROL (13 million euros) last year. ZF
