Elmi Prodfarm, the Romanian maker of Elmiplant cosmetics, this summer season has sold some 60,000 bottles of creams, emulsions and tanning lotions per month, Elena Cremenescu, Elmi Prodfarm general manager, told Ziarul Financiar.
The company has four types of products on the market at the moment: sun protection emulsion (factor 12), total screen emulsion (factor 25), emulsion for sensitive skin and for children, emulsion for soothing sunburns and suntan oil.
Each of these products registered about the same weight in total sales, that is about 15,000 bottles per month. The products cost between 40,000 lei and 60,000 lei, which means the monthly sales reached some 3bn lei.
Elmiplant made 25bn lei in 2000's turnover, as productivity increased by circa 200% against the previous year. Gross profit amounted to about 3.6bn lei.
