31.03.2006, 00:00 4

The Swedish producer of communication equipment and technologies aims to double its revenues in Romania by 2008, Adriana Boersma-Rodriguez, chief executive of the Romanian branch of Ericsson, told ZF. According to unofficial sources, the company last year posted revenues worth some 100 million euros on the local market. "It is a very realistic target, but in order to succeed, we need to diversify our clients," explained Rodriguez. So far, the company has only worked with major telephony operators in Romania. Starting this year, Ericsson will develop its business in three additional segments: enterprise, system integration and services, according to company officials. "On the enterprise segment we will work directly both with big clients and with small and medium-sized companies through our partners. We will also address companies that have only ten employees," stated Cristos Danopoulos, Ericsson head of the enterprise segment for South-Eastern Europe. Ericsson currently has two official partners in Romania: Omnilogic and 3A Trading. Company officials did not make an estimate in terms of the number of partners the company wants to have in the future. ZF
