Euroclinic sees 30% higher sales in Q1

Euroclinic Hospital & Medical Centers, operating a privatehospital and several clinics in Bucharest, in the first threemonths saw its turnover go up by 30% in RON, in line with thefull-year budget. "The 30% increase comes from the new patients ofexistent units. Taking into account the newly opened clinics, theadvance would top 50%. We're on schedule with the full-year budgetin terms of operating income as well. We are where we wanted tobe," said Catalin Popa, CEO of Euroclinic Hospital & MedicalCenters. In 2009, the company posted 7.7m-euro turnover, a littlemore than initial estimates and for this year the company targets10m-euro turnover. Under the circumstances, first quarter turnoverwould revolve around 2.5m euros, according to ZF estimates.Euroclinic plans to invest in two new clinics this year, afterhaving opened new clinics in 2009, in Piata Muncii and Pipera. "Wehave two projects underway. We're not considering another hospital(...)," Popa also says.
