Management of the Cluj-based sweets producer, Feleacul, has budgeted over 2.8 million euros in turnover for this year, a growth of about 45% against the previous year. The forecast performance is based primarily on the development of the portfolio of products and secondly on the expansion of the distribution network. "This year, we intend to launch a new cereal brand on the market, Pufavit, but also new types of jellied sweets," stated Andrei Katona, marketing manager of the company. In 2005, the company''s turnover witnessed an approximate 35% rise against 2004, with festive products being the driving force behind this rise. In addition to expanding the products portfolio, the investment project of the Cluj-based company also intends to expand the sales to a wider area, but also to increase productivity of certain lines. "The main market that Feleacul has focused on until now, has been the Transylvanian market, but once our collaboration with big retail stores expands, our area of distribution will go national," Katona explained.
