23.05.2010, 20:21 9

Logistic space developers have not embarked upon any new projectin the past year, with only the projects started before 2008 beingfinalised last year, reads BUSINESS CONSTRUCT magazine in its May27 edition. Investments are likely to pick up this year, after thefirst two projects, worth 13m euros, started being built, but thevolume is still too low to kick-start the market. Developers arenow carefully watching economic trends in Romania and particularlyconsumption, and to lower risks they are seeking locations untappedso far. The first projects launched domestically this year toexpand logistic capacities are those of Austria's Gebrude Wiesscompany of Sibiu and that of FM Logistic French firm in Petresti,Dambovita county. The value of works amounts to just 13m euros, butthe companies' officials say they are willing to boost investmentsshould economic growth gain momentum and consumption resume growth, says Claude Faure, founding chairman and a CEO with FMLogistic.
