Gedeon Richter Farmacia (Gedeon Richter Drugstore) in Targu-Mures will merge by absorption with 41 companies in the group, with the company's share capital set to increase by 975,000 RON (over 310,000 euros), to over one million RON, as a result of the operation. "For managerial reasons, such as improving the service flow on the market, cutting costs, and given that the companies belong to the same group, a decision for merger was made. The merger will entail the absorption of the drugstores by Gedeon Richter," shows the merger project published by the company in the Official Gazette. Gedeon Richter Farmacia handles retail operations within the Gedeon Richter Romania group, the subsidiary of the Hungarian producer Richter Gedeon. The company in Romania is the only one within the Hungarian group with integrated operations, production (Gedeon Richter Romania), retail (Gedeon Richter Farmacia), distribution, and a company for development strategies (Armedica Trading).
