French company GEFCO, a part of the Peugeot-Citroen group estimates it will post a turnover worth 7.5 million euros from logistics, distribution and transportation of goods in its first year of activity. "This year we will post a turnover worth 7.5 million euros. After the first months of activity we have doubled both our number of employees and the volume of transported goods," stated Denis Renard, general manager of GEFCO. The French company entered the Romanian market at the end of 2004, having confidence in the potential of the Romanian market both in terms of consumption and in terms of direct investments. "The Romanian market has the fastest rate and the fastest potential of growth after Poland. This is why we intend to grow at a 20-30% pace per year, but we may exceed our estimates," explained Renard. GEFCO''s strategy involves renting and not investing in car fleets or in logistic platforms. "We are integrators, organisers of logistic solutions," specified Renard. ZF
