Generali Asigurari sees 36m-euro revenues

Last year, the company Generali Insurance saw gross underwritten premiums worth 36 million euros (130.1 million RON), representing growth of over 48% compared to 2004. The whole insurance market grew by about 40% in euros last year. The company did not reveal last year''s profit figures. In 2004, Generali saw losses of more than 1.16 million euros (4.7 million RON), but started making profit in the first nine months of 2005. The company last year underwrote gross premiums worth over 30.2 million euros (109.4 million RON) from general insurance, 43% more than in the previous year. At the beginning of November, Generali entered the civil auto liability insurance market and concluded almost 5,000 contracts worth over 55,000 euros (200,000 RON) until the end of December. Comprehensive insurance accounts for the bulk of Generali''s portfolio, which grew by 58% against 2004, to over 16.6 million euros (60.3 million RON). ZF
