Dutch Golden Tulip hotel chain, which entered the Romanian market this year, after having affiliated two hotels in Bucharest, plans to develop a 12-hotel chain in both Bucharest and the other major cities in the country in 2005. Golden Tulip is the fourth foreign hotel chain that announces plans to build a national network.

The hotels targeted by the group for 2005 include Sky Gate (Bucharest) and Concordia (Targu Mures), according to Paul Marasoiu, president of the hotel consulting and management firm Peacock Hotels, which will represent this chain on the Romanian market. "We will finalise the contract with Golden Tulip for representing the Dutch chain on the Romanian market in a matter of days. Golden Tulip targets affiliation of 12 hotels by the end of 2005," Marasoiu said. ZF
