US tyre producer Goodyear has already met its 2003 sales target for the Romanian market. "We were expecting a 20% increase, but this percentage was exceeded in the first half of the year," Razvan Bosomoiu, marketing director at Goodyear Romania said. The American group's turnover exceeded 20 million euros in Romania last year. "We posted the largest growth in the SUV tyres segment, where sales went up 50%," Bosomoiu also said. According to Bosomoiu, the Romanian market is still dominated by the 'value' tyres, for which price is the only factor to consider when buying. ZF
