Grand Arena on the list of postponed mall openings

29.10.2008, 19:28 20

The opening of the Grand Arena shopping centre, under construction in the Berceni district of Bucharest, is likely to be put off until the first quarter of next year, considering that French-based Euroinvest Intermed has only two weeks left to deliver the commercial spaces to the future tenants. "We would have liked to finish it by the end of the year, but circumstances were rather unfavourable both in terms of construction and in terms of banks. Considering the contracts we have signed, the centre will open no later than March 15 next year. We will have a new meeting with people at Carrefour on November 15, when we will try to set a definite date," Livia Petcu, representative of the developer, told ZF. The mall, whose opening had been announced for the fourth quarter of this year, will be located at the intersection of Metalurgiei Boulevard and Turnu Magurele Street, and tenants will include Carrefour, Flanco World, Sephora, Cavaliere, Otter, Motivi, Tina R, Ina Center, Jolidon, Triumph, Lee Cooper and Meli Melo.
